Formula 1 commentator Ben Edwards took pole for the third round of the Champion of Brands series at Brands Hatch this morning by just 0.128s.
Edwards topped the session from beginning to end setting a best lap time of 51.153s. Max Marzorati was the only competition for Edwards, having pressured him throughout the session.
Conor Murphy posted the third fastest time, exactly 0.500s slower than Edwards, and is joined on the second row by Matt Rivett, the only previous Champion of Brands winner present this weekend.
Graham Brunton Racing’s Logan Hannah qualified fifth, just 0.082s behind Rivett with Adam Fathers just behind in sixth.
Jason Down and Richard Mendoza finished in seventh and eighth respectively with Andrew Pryke and Innes Hickman completing the top 10.
Steve Barlow and John Whitbourn set the fewest laps of all the drivers, however they were able to qualify in eleventh and twelfth.
Simon Pruce and Mark Adkins complete the grid having qualified in thirteenth and fourteenth respectively.
