Max Marzorati will replace BRSCC Avon Tyres National FF1600 champion Niall Murray at Team Dolan for the final round of the season at Donington Park.
The 18-year-old, whose father used to race in FFord, has tested with several FF1600 teams this year ahead of a planned FFord Festival entry.
He made his FF1600 debut in the BRSCC Northern round at Silverstone, but caused a red flag in his first race after colliding with Henry Chart at Luffield. He was disqualified for his part in the incident, and retired in the second race.
Marzorati raced in Clio Cup UK Junior last year, winning the first three races and ending up third in the standings.
Team Dolan is looking to end the season with a 1-2 in the standings, as newly crowned Northern Ireland FF1600 champion Matt Round-Garrido chases Kevin Mills Racing’s Michael Eastwell for the runner-up spot. Round-Garrido has won twice this year, and like Eastwell is in his second full season in the category.
