Ross Martin continued his unbeaten run in Scottish Formula Ford 1600 this year by claiming a routine lights-to-flag win in race two at Knockhill.
Defending champion Martin got a clean getaway from pole position and led every lap en route to a comfortable 7.135 second victory over Graham Brunton Racing team-mate Sebastian Melrose.
Matt Chisholm capped off an impressive weekend by finishing on the final step of the podium.
Martin got off the line perfectly as the lights went out and quickly built an insurmountable lead over fellow front-row starter Neil Broome.
Having shown great pace in the opening encounter, Broome held second for the bulk of the race before falling into the clutches of the chasing Melrose and Chisholm.
Melrose, who tangled with Jordan Gronkowski’s Van Diemen late on in race one, made substantial gains on the opening lap to run behind Chisholm in fourth.
The GBR driver dived down the inside of Chisholm’s Van Diemen at the Hairpin and launched a similar assault on Broome into Duffus.
That pushed Broome wide which allowed Chisholm and the Mygale of James Clarke to get past.
Chisholm made a late-braking lunge on Melrose in an attempt to grab the position, but fell back towards Clarke, with the positions remaining unchanged till the flag.
Broome fought back to claim fifth, ahead of Gary Sykes, Steven Barlow and Fraser Gray.
Race one polesitter Jordan Gronkowski was forced to sit out the second race due to damage sustained in his collision with Melrose in the morning.
