Three-time Classic Formula Ford 1600 champion Adriano Medeiros described his Silverstone Grand Prix circuit race victory from 31st on the grid as one of his best ever drives.
The Brazilian suffered an exhaust failure on his Van Diemen RF80 1600 in the first BARC Luna Logistics Classic FF1600 Silverstone race which meant he had to retire.
Medeiros therefore started the second race on the back row in 31st place, and he stormed through the field to win by a handsome 3.144s.
“I really enjoyed it,” he said.
“I feel like it was really good driving with the level of competition and just the fact I was starting at the back. I think that was one of my best drives.”
Limited sponsorship means the 2013, ’16 and ’17 series champion is unable to compete in the full season this time around, but he is planning to return for further one-off outings at Snetterton and the Formula Ford Festival at Brands Hatch.
